Company History

  • 2000: Company established as OCEAN TECHNOLOGIES CO., LTD.
  • 2001: Completion of the first NC drilling EDM.
  • 2002: Launch of ZNC drilling EDM; first sales to Europe. Participation in BI-MU (Italy) and METALEX (Thailand).
  • 2003: Patent for portable drilling EDM and quick-change electrode holder system. Participation in EMO (Italy), EUROMOLD (Germany), and TIMTOS (Taiwan). CE certification achieved. Completion of CNC drilling EDM with ATC system.
  • 2004: Patent for auto electrode and guide change system. Participation in IMTEX (India), IMTS (USA), METALLOOBRAOTKA (Russia), and METAV (Germany). Launch of CNC Drilling EDM with ATC & AGC system and ZNC with tilting head.
  • 2005: Participation in TIMTOS (Taiwan), MTS (Malaysia), MTA (Singapore), EMO (Germany), and EUROMOLD (Germany).
  • 2006: New factory established. R&D for MICRO EDM machine. Participation in WESTEC (USA), MTS (Malaysia), and ITERMACH (Thailand).
  • 2007: Patent for WEDG system. Participation in TIMTOS (Taiwan) and EMO (Germany).
  • 2008: Patent for extension spindle of EDM. Participation in ITERMACH (Thailand), EUROMOLD (Germany), and METALEX (Thailand).
  • 2009: Participation in TIMTOS (Taiwan) and EMO (Italy). Company-wide ERP system implementation. Over 20 patents obtained.
  • 2010: ISO 9001 quality certification. Entry into the aerospace industry market.
  • 2011: Participation in TIMTOS (Taiwan), MTT (Jakarta), and EMO (Germany). OCT-90120CA multi-axes CNC EDM DRILL Machine received the Excellent Award in the Taiwan Machine Tools Industry Award for Excellence in Research and Innovation.
  • 2012: Acquisition of new factory land (3,300 m²). Development of OCT-7050RA for the aerospace industry.
  • 2013: Launch of OCEAN controller. Participation in TIMTOS (Taiwan), EMO (Germany), and TADTE (Taiwan).
  • 2014: Participation in AIRTEC (Frankfurt).
  • 2015: Completion of CNC drilling EDM machine with Auto-Pallet Change system (APC).
  • 2016: Establishment of the new 3,300 m² Zhong Zheng factory.
  • 2017: Memorandum of cooperation with AIDC. Recipient of the 26th National Award of Outstanding SMEs.
  • 2018: 4th Taichung Outstanding Industrial Innovation Award, 25th Taiwan Small and Medium Enterprises Innovation Award, and 41st Model Award of Taiwan Entrepreneurs.
  • 2019: Taiwan AIDC KPI Bronze Award, 26th Taiwan SEMS Innovation Award, SBIR Outstanding Contribution Awards.
  • 2020: 26th Manager Excellence Award, Industry Development International Markets Program Grant, Industrial upgrading and innovation platform mentoring program subsidy, R&D Funding Project Subsidy.
  • 2022: 21st Golden Hand Award. Establishment of OCEAN Biomedical.
  • 2024: Expansion into high-value hydrogen energy and green electricity sectors.
